About

An intense 3-to-4-week program that matches you up with experienced court reporters and court reporting agency sponsors as part of our unique mentoring program. You will have the opportunity to shadow working court reporters in live proceedings, while also practicing your skills in mock and actual recorded proceedings. You will receive direct feedback and coaching from your mentors and Academy instructors. To complete this course, you will need to successfully lead and complete a live mock deposition conducted with instructors and mentors.

General Skills and Credentials

Candidates must have successfully completed the Digital Court Reporting course.

Required Equipment List

A PC or laptop with a minimum of a Pentium i5 or higher processor (minimum of 8GB RAM preferred), solid-state or hard drive with at least 256GB of storage. Multi-channel digital court reporting software. For those who don’t already possess multi-channel digital court reporting software, an industry partner will provide one free for use during your enrollment. A USB microphone and a USB speaker. A list of recommended equipment is provided upon registration.
